A Happy Pascha to all!

Some days ago we prepared the readings for the Holy Easter service. During this occurred the question, what is the most common English translation of the Bible used in orthodox churches today?

Thank you in advance for your hints.

Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!

Dear Igor,

as far as I understood Joseph, the most common orthodox bible in English for the Orthodox is the King James Bible.
Mabe Joseph can add some good hints regarding this question.

Warmest regards,
Nassos

Thank you, Nassos!

Just for information: A good comparision of different translations is available on  http://www.bibleserver.com/ , because there is a feature on this site to switch between different versions.

dear brothers and sisters in christ,

the king james version is the best translation in a western language ever.

As I known, was the new testament in the king james version translated by the byzantine version, which was called "false" by rome.

And by the way, I´ve bought the Orthodox study bible, also in english. It´s really good.

Greetings

Elvis
